 For the fifth straight year, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will once again be the stage for our annual Polka festival, “Polkamotion by the Ocean.” Celebrating its 29th consecutive year, Polkamotion takes place at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, September 11th through 14th, 2008. This family-friendly festival delivers a variety of “live” Polka bands each day, and has a daily admission charge of $16 for adults, $15 for Seniors. Chautauqua: n.  Pronounced: shuhtaw-kwuh. an annual educational meeting, originating in the village of Chautauqua, New York in 1874, providing public lectures, concerts, and dramatic performances during the summer months, usually in an outdoor setting.

The 10th Annual Chataqua Tent Show in Lewes will bring History to life thru re-enactments and monologies of historic characters. The theme for this year is MUSIC IN AMERICA!  Enjoy Celtic, Sea Shanty, Country, Gospel and Rock musical entertainment and listen to speakers portaying the likes of Billie Holiday, John Philip Sousa, Clifford Brown, and George Gershwin.. The events will take place on the grounds of the Zwaanendael Museum and the Lewes Historical Society from June 22nd to the 25th, 2008.  Sponsored by the Delaware Humanities Forum.
